ABOUT ERIK
My journey as a firearms instructor began over a decade ago when I started my professional adult life as a personal trainer and strength coach. It was here that I discovered my passion for teaching others and witnessing first hand the joy folks have when they discover new found confidence in themselves.
I always felt called to do more however and in 2017 became a full-time law enforcement officer. It is my belief from my personal experience that capability breeds confidence, and confidence reduces perceived stress. Therefore I sought out to acquire a surplus of fundamental skill that would be transferable across any given incident and hopefully have higher levels of success and survivability.
This led me to competitive shooting where I am currently a two-division Grand Master in the USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association). This competitive environment has shaped my understanding of shooting, developing a true mastery of shooting a pistol, and has allowed me to blend the most effective training methodology from performance shooting with practical application.
Whether you’ve never touched a gun in your life or are already A class and looking to get to that next level, I’m positive I can assist you on your journey towards your own goals in shooting.
